Sorry it has been forever since I have posted. I still cannot decide if I am totally into this blogging thing or not, but I will try to get better. I think it is because I am not a writer, and I would much rather speak to someone than write them a note, so therefore, I run out of things to say that I think anyone would actually care about. Oh well.....

Jolea is fully potty trained now. PTL!!!! Well, except during nap time and at night...we still put a diaper on her those times. She refuses to let Jimmy or I help her go to the bathroom. She is SO independent. Wonder where she gets it from???

Jimmy is still enjoying his job as a Deputy Sheriff with Gwinnett County. His assignment switches every 3 months, and right now he is rotating through all the different units as a relief worker. He enjoys the variety!

It is busy for me at work as well. We just completed our 2009 World Changers Coordinator Retreat, and now are working on hiring our summer staff. I still love working here, and am thankful for the opportunity I have.

I guess that's it for now. See, I told you I don't have much to say (write). If you want to really know what's going on with our fam, then just call me!

It's almost holiday time!

I know it has been a while since I have posted, but I just have trouble remembering to update this thing. I have like a million other things to do, so this blog is usually last on my priority list.

We are doing well. Jimmy just passed his post exam for state Jailer certification, so we are really proud of him. He went back to his normal work schedule today. It has been nice having him home in the evenings and on the weekends, but starting today, it's back to the old schedule. I think we will try and put up Christmas decorations this weekend since we have decided to go to Tuscaloosa for a few days at Thanksgiving. I'll have to take pictures of our tree and post them - if I remember!

Savannah, July 2008

I know this is a little late, but I wanted to post these pictures that my friend, Susan W., took of Jolea when we were in Savannah this summer. Susan is a great photographer and I love how she has captured Jolea as she walks barefoot (I must have been crazy) around this Savannah square where Forrest Gump was filmed.

Greensboro Children's Museum

Jolea and I are in High Point, NC visiting Brian, Lindsey, Isaiah, Levi, and Lucy Morgan this week. We have been hanging around the house a lot, so today, I told Jolea we were going on a "special trip". We went to the Greensboro Children's Museum and had a great time. Jolea got to climb on an airplane, sit in a police car (photo above), play the drums (see video), sit in a postal truck, shop at the Fresh Market, and many other fun things. She also accidentally threw sand in a little girl's face as she was raking the sand. Thank goodness the mom did not get upset! I made Jolea apologize to her, and we moved on from the sand.
